DEWing the dewy skin spring makeup look

Sierra Webb, Reporter

Warm weather is approaching, flowers are blossoming, and the nights are getting lighter: spring is in the air. With summer just around the corner, dewy and natural skin is a necessity for the warmer weather.

Taking Maybelline’s CC cream concealer, I apply the product on my eyelids and then blend it out with a Beauty Blender. Then, with a small packing brush, I apply translucent powder to my lid to prevent creasing.

Dipping into a bronze shade, I blend out the product from inner corner to outer. After the shadow is blended, I take a small angle brush and carve out a cut crease. Once the halo eye has been set, I apply Too Face’s glitter glue on my lid and then with my Ulta pallet I take my index finger and pack the lavender shadow onto my eyelid for more pigment.

CC creams and light coverage products are perfect for a natural and hydrating look. Using the CC cream by It cosmetics will give a light and flawless finish while also providing SP 15 to protect the skin from UV rays.

After applying the CC cream with a damp Beauty Blender, a little Nars lightweight concealer goes a long way for under eye discoloration and bags. When the concealer is blended, I take the Hula Quickie contour stick and apply the product on my jawline, bridge of my nose, temples, and underneath my jawline.

Buffing the creamy product into the skin will define the cheekbones and leave a sun-kissed affect. Once the contour is done I take a small powder brush and dip into Revlon’s pressed powder and gently pat the product underneath my eyes, chin, and forehead to prevent those areas from becoming oily and creasing throughout the day.

With a small highlighting brush, I dip into the gold shimmer shade in the Modern Renaissance pallet and lightly apply the product on the inner corner of my eye, nose, and my cheeks to create a hydrating illuminous affect to the skin.

Taking my dip brow pomade by Benefit I take a small angled brush and lightly fill in my brows. Once my brows are filled I take clear brow gel by Anastasia Beverly hills and comb my brows upwards for a more natural look.

Then, with a small blending brush, I spritz the brush with Mac Fix Plus to make the product more pigmented and then dip into the lavender shade. Taking the lavender shade, I apply the product on my lower lash line to pull the eye look together.

Finishing off the look, I apply a light pink lip gloss to pull together the dewy makeup look.
