- Kanye West

- 21 Savage
- Lil Uzi Vert
Before I start this is all my personal opinion on best current rappers:
Lil Uzi Vert: I have Lil Uzi Vert at the 10 spot. In 2015 Uzi started to blow up in the rap game, leading to me getting attached to his music. He was the most downloaded artist on SoundCloud for the 2016, and coming in 2017 he is dropping his follow up album Luv is Rage 2.
21 Savage: Even with all the beef between all the savages, 21 is obviously the most known. His biggest hit is “X” and also features in Drake’s “Sneakin” which blew up the first night it came out. 21 was also featured in the 2016 XXL freshman cypher class.
Chaboi: There isn’t much to say other than he’s on the rise, and going places. Chaboi is only 17 years old and already making his mark on the SoundCloud community. Chaboi dropped his trade mark track “That’s My Team” and has thousands of listens on other songs like his fan favorite “Saucy.” He is truly one to watch out for in the future.
Kanye West: Kanye is a legend in the rap world. He has some of the best albums ever made with “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” “The College Dropout,” “Graduation,” and his most recent album “The Life of Pablo.” He has certainly made his mark on rapping history.
Logic: I personally like the style Logic has, he may not be one of the best rappers to everyone, but to me he has a flow that I can vibe to any day of the week.
Cole: One of the best rappers in history, his album “2014 Forest Hill Drive” going double platinum, and his newest album “4 Your Eyez Only” soon going platinum, with both of them having no features. You can’t deny his impact on the rapping game.
Future: To me recently, Future has been one of the elite rappers coming out with 2 albums in 2 weeks, “FUTURE,” and “HNDRXX” which was a very big upside when deciding this list. During the “What a Time to be Alive” tour he grew larger than he already was, giving some of the credit to Drake for that.
Migos: What else is there to say? Migos is the most popular group at the moment, with one of the biggest hits “Bad and Boujee.” All 3 of the Migos (Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff) help make every song a different experience and are all extremely talented. I can’t wait what to hear from them in the future.
Drake: Drake is without a doubt the most popular rapper as of right now, with his huge album “Views” and recently released playlist “More Life,” taking the rapping world by storm after holding out the release for 3 months. Even with the hold out, he still has had a huge impact on the rap game. People will either love or hate him, but his success can’t be denied.
Chance The Rapper: Chance is known for being the biggest independent artist if not the biggest artist right now. He won multiple Grammys this year, including Best New Artist and Best Rap Album. This is huge for someone who hasn’t even dropped his debut album and technically hasn’t sold a song, due to his intentional lack of signing with a major label.
