Girls indoor track wins County Championship title

Girls proudly hold plaque for eleventh win in a row.

On Tuesday, Jan. 26 the girl’s indoor track team won the Baltimore County Championship title for the eleventh year in a row. The team held off Franklin with 142 points, Franklin scoring only 89. This broke the record for amount of points scored for the county meet .

Hannah Weeren (’18), Jen Barranco (’19), Hannah Ace (’17), and Kylie Nause (’18) ran the 4×800 meter relay and broke the Armory record with 10.02.

“We were all so happy because we didn’t think we were going to win so it was really exciting.” Jen Barranco (’19) said.

“I was very proud of the way they stepped up in a situation that was challenging. We expected it to be a challenge but I was happy that they stepped up to the challenge,” track coach Brad Duvall said.
