Erin Causey (12) was recently chosen for the Seventh Annual Minds in Motion Scholarship program provided by the Allstate Foundation as part of the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA).  She will receive a $1,000 scholarship at a luncheon on May 29 held in the Raven’s Team Locker Room at M&T Bank Stadium.

To have been chosen for this scholarship the applicants needed to maintain a minimum of a 3.25 unweighted GPA and have participated in interscholastic athletics while in high school. Along with Erin, twelve other applicants were chosen for this scholarship from all nine of the districts that make up the MPSSAA.

Erin has participated on the Varsity Cross Country team and the Varsity Indoor Track and Field team for all four years of high school.  She has also ran on the Varsity Outdoor Track and Field team since her sophomore year of high school.

Erin was admitted into University of Maryland and plans to run cross country and track and field while enrolled there.

“I was very honored to receive the scholarship,” said Erin, “I was happy and surprised.”
